From the North. From the north,
the distance is 663 kms. from Santiago entering
through Inspector Fernandez (at the 604th km.
of the longitudinal route) with 59 Km. of gravel
road that in the middle of winter may be blocked

- Curacautin - Tolhuaca.
From the south. The distance
is 121 Kms. from Temuco through Lautaro - Curacautin

From Argentina. The Pino Hachado
international pass is recommended. The pass
is also the future transportation artery between
the two regions of Argentina and Chile. It is
157 Km from the pass.
From The International Pass.
You will cross The Liucura border and then arrive
to Lonquimay- Curacautín - Tolhuaca.
Following along this road you have
two options:
The first route passes through south America´s
longest tunnel Las Raices ( 4,580 m of paved
road, 25 kms from Curacautin).
The second route from Lonquimay to Curacautin.
Passes through the cordillera Las Raices. It
is 21 km long, is gravel road where on can observe
volcano Lonquimay, the thousand year old araucaria
trees, and the unique landscape of a cordillera
valley.
